Homebrew developer Shaolan has just released an updated DAPES or Drawing and Picture Editing Software for the Sony PlayStation Portable, bumping it up to version 3.0. DAPES is an application similar to MS Paint but for your PSP - it allows you to edit and draw pictures on it (much like how you'd normally use Paint).
In DAPES version 3.0, a lot of changes have been made to make it more functional for users. Here's the complete list of changes for homebrew dev Shaolan's app (as translated by our favorite weblator):
* Menu filter operations by the key triangle
* Possibility to define a color transparency
* Ability to deal with a color as the main color with alpha channel
* Function text improved, the text is converted into selection
* Symmetry horizontal / vertical on any image or a selection that has been copied but not yet pasted
* Brush 3
* Effect grid (you can adjust the width / height tiles)
* Ability to delete a selection (L + Square)
* Possibility to zoom in on a precise part of the image which removes the limit zoom (When the image is too big: select the area with the selection tool before zooming then start to return to the complete image)
Quite a hefty changelog, eh? If you find the homebrew app useful, you can download DAPES version 3.0 by following the link below. Make sure you know how to install the application since this doesn't come with a readme.
